In that same spirit, I would suggest monitoring Craigslist.
A bit of a pain in the ass to do, and not terribly likely to net results, but you never know.
POSSIBLY craigslist customer service has a "security" department that MAY be willing and able to do some sort of automatic or manual monitoring. Ebay also undoubtedly has some sort of security department. As least at craigslist I think you might be able to reach a human being and find out if that's so.
