Re: Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Search for airports within a large radius of a location?

Great site and great search.

Two comments:

1) Unlike http://flightwise.com/pu/ai/fa.aspx
the search at AirNav does not display the found airports on a map.
Just lists and links them.
Useful ... but doesn't give the "at a glance" type of picture, as when you see "anyname-field" at "City-X" you may have no idea whatever whether City-X is north, south, east, west, of takes you though a military airpspace, so may have to go clicking on everything.
At http://flightwise.com/pu/ai/fa.aspx
you sort of get all that info at-a-glance.

2) Tried using AirNav's advanced search to find airports within 150 miles that have mogas. It said there were none, but in fact I know of at least on withing 15 miles.
In short, don't count on it for that.
