Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Sun protection on skylight for hot weather?

I love the upwards visibility through my newly acquired Skyranger's lexan Skylight, but as we get into summer here I suspect I could
get cooked by the sun pouring in.

The ideal resolution, it seems to me, would be something providing some shade without completely losing the advantage of the upward visibility.
Something like some film that is used aftermarket to darken car interiors. Actually one can find aluminized film like that.
But unlike the automotive use, not applied with intent to stick.

Would not want to actually bond/apply it to the lexan as (a) it would surely wrinkle and eventually blister and peel and (b) don't want a permanent shade as in the colder weather want to keep the full sun and visibility totally unimpaired.

I thought I saw some sort of non-permanently-sticking dark plastic film used by a guy on the inside of the top of his bubble canopy in his RV-6 once.

I bet some of you who have low wing aircraft with bubble canopies, or skylight have come up with solutions.

Care to pass on what works and what doesn't or any tips?

Thanks for any tips.

Alex
