Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Re: 3rd Class medical

The only caution that I would give is that if you were to fail your 3rd Class medical you would not be able fly as a sport pilot using your driver's license as the medical. If you decide to get your 3rd Class be certain that you will pass the exam before starting the thing with an AME.
