Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Re: sport pilot questions

Richard,

That's not quite what I asked:

""""Can a experimental amateur built fly over densely populated areas ?

Is there a list of "regular maintenance" A SP/Owner of the craft is allowed to preform on his plane ?""""" (IE: EXPERIMENTAL AMATEUR BUILT )

My Cert says "Special Airworthiness Certificate"
Category/Designation: EXPERIMENTAL
Purpose: TO OPERATE AMATEUR BUILT AIRCRAFT

The FAR that I read has a "Special Airworthiness Certificate" rule and a "EXPERIMENTAL" rule but no "Special Airworthiness Certificate EXPERIMENTAL" rule.

that and the apparent lack of my op limit sheet is why I'm confused on this issue. It may well be printed in bold type on my missing op sheet, I don't know. But looks like I got to make a call.

And I do have my reg and airworth. cert and I did find it on line before I bought it, just missed the op limit in my paper work.

Thank you Richard,

Rod
