I've flown both planes at Cable Airport in Upland, CA. And what a blast it was. Tony Settember was the CFI for both flights as ,at the time, I hadn't passed my sport pilot check ride; Nov. 6, 2010 I did pass. The 700 flys nicely and quite similar to the Sportstar(same lineage from what I've read) I fly in San Jose.
The 800 is lower to the ground and puts you in a more laid back position. The carbon fiber material makes the plane light and smooth with very little wind noise and great response on the controls.
It seems to be competitively priced with the PiperSport / SportCruiser .
