Mitch, that's only true on and experimental aircraft. On an SLSA,
unless the airframe manufacturer opts to override the engine
manufacturers instructions (which to my knowledge none have), you will
invalidate your airworthiness certificate if you have a mechanic on the
Rotax without Rotax training within the past two years.
