Re: Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group PiperSport

Possibly, but I get the feeling this runs even deeper.  I expect we'll get more of the scoop by the end of the week from AvWeb.

Will also be interesting to hear from some of the PS dealers on the list.  I wonder if they had any idea this was coming.

And I think therein lies there marketing problem they mentioned in there post. Piper surely wanted to do business the same way as Cessna but the CZ people wouldn’t budge and do it the American way. That was probably there problem in the first place when they were selling on their own with their own networks.

That doesn't make sense though Gary as Piper wasn't selling this through their regular dealer/service network like Cessna.  Cessna only had a concern about the mx because they were being sold through their service network.

All A&P would need to go to school for Rotax service and they could not change to the O-200 because they would be in trouble with the weight as Helen suggested. The CZ had, nor does the not have a problem with the Rotax in there native european market. If they can recover financially they would probably continue to produce their orignal

I think cessna will sell all the planes they make and it will keep its value for a long time.

longer time than the other

I'm missing something. What's Corning got to do with it?
