RE: Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group PiperSport

If that were true I believe that would essentially kill the LSA industry as
we know it. People would then be able to buy regular cheaper craft like the
cubs and 150s and pipers etc. That could be a good thing or a bad thing
depending on where you stand on it, seems to me.

Where are you finding this information? I would like to read some of it too.

->I have read through various (I believe to be reliable)
->sources that the FAA may soon start allowing pilots with a
->sport pilot certificate (or something similar to a sport
->pilot certificate) to fly larger aircraft (I have read that
->it might extend to aircraft as large as 6000 pounds), and
->would still not require a medical to fly the larger aircraft.

->Has anyone else heard about this possible future development?
->
->Do you think that this might be another large reason why
->Piper is no longer going to be offering the PiperSport?
