Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Sport pilot checkride advice

I'm getting prepared for my checkride. I've spent hours studying for the oral portion and hours practicing ground reference maneuvers. I just can't get up the courage to actually call and schedule the exam. Am I making a mountain out of a molehill? Any advice?
