>This then brings me to think that a lot of people interested in buying LSA-IFR airplanes ... are they current private pilots (with medicals) rated for IFR??? I wonder what this breakdown would show us. I have my suspesions but I truly may be well off the mark.
You've said this before. Is you concern "manufacturer liability"? You have no idea if any of the people who have purchased your aircraft are legal to fly at all.
>Hell yeah its fair.
>Show me a Part H CFI in WSC?
>Let me know when you find out how I can become a Part H CFI in WSC how I can do it.
We all realize that there is no subpart H instructors for weightshift/PPC... so the question is, why did the FAA put those words in subpart K, instead of adding those words into subpart H (and creating an appropriate commercial category as well)?
The point is, that if the FAA is taking the stance that subpart K airplane CFI's are somehow "not trained" enough to teach to the private level, then how are subpart K weightshift/PPC instructors any different? It doesn't appear to be a matter of training capability. It appears to be that the answer is "no" simply because the regs say so, and that doesn't seem right.
