For what its worth, the FAA originally proposed 1,232 lbs for LSAs. the FAA in their final rule raised the limit to the current 1,320 we have now. They had to draw the line somewhere. If you increase the weight to C-152 limits, guaranteed, someone will be out there asking for "just a little more weight" for another model of a plane, that is "just a little" over the 152 limits. Where would it end?
