I was out to Smoketown PA (S37) for a fly in last weekend and got to see some great engineering on a truly vintage Gemini Hummingbird. The guy did some great shade tree engineerin on her that was impressive for a non aviation type as he was Amish. The two engines that would be mounted out bound on the wings had been removed and a Cayuna was sitting on the front of the root tube with a Ivo prop. He also had a Quicksilver steerable nose wheel fitted on the front and the muffler coming off the side and up attached to the king post. For a throttle he had gotten one out of an aircraft bone yard and it looked way funny as it so big looked like something off big Cessna on his ultralight. I had never seen a V tail on an ultralight and it was pretty neat to see. The double surface wing impressed me for one being so old.
