Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Re: Transponders in NORDO aircraft

Hi Rick,
It is possible there are multiple interpretations going around. But anyway, we actually don't own any aircraft that would qualify anyway even with your interpretation. All our aircraft have electric starts so we are out of luck. However, there are a few aircraft at the airport with 503 with a pull start and no battery that would qualify. In reality no FAA guy or Tampa tower guys want to bother anyone here and don't care so its a moot point.
I have also heard of your interpretation (understanding) but when I called Oklahoma, I got told something different. I will try it again and see what answer I get this time.
