Yes Abid, we are agreeing that if you have an electrical system AND you have an engine that is capable of generating electricity then you MUST install a transponder if you are going to operate in mode C airspace.
I think where we are disagreeing is that I say we can still build and operate an airplane WITHOUT an electrical system. With NO electrical system there is no requirement to install a transponder.
If I read you correctly, you are saying that the existance of a coil on the engine constitutes an alectrical system? Even if there are no wires in the airplane to hook the coil to?
