Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group shaking my head

One of my students just came back from the Outer Banks on vacation and
told me all about the sightseeing ride he paid for in the PPC with the
pilot who had no license. This on the heels of the report that one of
the recent trike tourist fatalities in Hawaii the pilot was doing loops.

This many years into the sport pilot rule, how can this stuff still be
going on?
