Cessna SkyCatcher completes ASTM compliance
The Cessna 162 SkyCatcher light sport aircraft has complied with ASTM
standards, clearing the way for deliveries by November or December. "This
is significant not only for Cessna, but for the aviation community as a
whole," said Cessna Chairman, President, and CEO Jack Pelton. Pelton said
that once the SkyCatchers enter service, they will serve as a catalyst for
increased pilot starts. In other news, Cessna announced a new Web-based
flight training system called the Cessna Sport/Private Course. Cessna
worked with King Schools to create the course.
