You are computer guy, I am sure you know how to read top posts just fine.
The FAA types being who? FAA types that matter, I don't think are thrilled about the industry making LSA's more and more complicated with each passing month. They may not come out and popularize that view.
NTSB has already been on LSA tail and recently recommended to ground all Zodiac 601's if you remember which has already been done in the UK and Holland and Norway is thinking about it.

LSA are already a bonafide member of aviation community. There are always limits including limits on speed (120 knots max full out cruise), limits on weight, number of seats and gross weight. Does that mean that stops them from taking their place in aviation? Does LSA's not being able to use Turbo props make them not become a full member of aviation? May be we should allow twin engine LSA's as well? Why not? Where does it stop?
