You won't usually hear from me but I have to agree with Abid.
Forcing LSA into the realm of IFR/instrument flight is going to happen but doesn't make it a good thing. The 'spirit" of the LSA program, like Helen states is to get folks interested in aviation at a reasonable cost (btw-IFR equipped costs start to become, UNreasonable). If we follow the logic of some here then we should be equipping Part 103 aircraft for IFR.
LSA aircraft, IMHO, were intended for the guy or gal on the way INTO aviation or the guy or gal on the way OUT OF aviation. Part23 aircraft (as well as EAB) fills the void.

On the other hand people are crazy and will do what they want (legal or otherwise).
