Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Re: can there be an "LSA" electric plane...

Hi Guys-
While all of you are making valid points etc, etc, I think you are not getting the gist of the question.
I believe Boon meant how can an LSA be electric when the regs only call out "piston engined". The regs don't include turbines OR electric (or possibly even rotary engines)the way it is written now.
The only valid model I see right now is 103 legal e-Spyder.
I don't think Boon didn't believe that electric planes were possible/practical, just that they couldn't qualify as LSA.
Am I wrong?
