If I were a instructor or CFI, I would in a heartbeat, but I am unfortunately neither.
But yes the instructor side has to change and be more open to the needs of the students, not the particular flight school they are associated with. I have found that true in this area of the country especially...
There is local concern by some local CFI's to use my plane on a lease back to provide training they and their students can afford, finding a lot of people wanting to become sport pilots and the schools denial to teach it. Local schools still want to use the SkyCatcher to save money and still teach private in it, avoiding sport altogether. The instructor's are not certain even how to do this insurance wise etc and could use some help if it is possible for them to even accomplish it.
