Re: Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group E-LSA with larger baggage area?

The other thing to think about is weight and balance if you load the cargo area. My instructor always drilled me with how important it is to stay within the cg envelope.

Have fun and stay safe too.

Thanks Jim,

There are two reasons in which I am looking at Experimental Light Sport Category. First, LSA. That is to do away with the requirement of having an FAA medical. The second is Experimental. That is so I can crawl out from underneath the FAA's thumb where maintenance is concerned. The Aeronca Chief fits the LSA category. But, unfortunately, it does not fit the Experimental category. Which is indeed unfortunate. For there are several Standard and Utility category aircraft in which I would love to own.

Thanks for the thought, Jim,

Bill

If an old certified light sport will work look at the Aeronca Chief. I'm pretty sure that your dog carrier would fit in my 11AC's baggage sack. If not a modified one might. Kind of slow for traveling, but fun.
