Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Re: Are LSA impractical?

Yes, the economics of Lightsport is certainly an attractive bonus. You got a Stingsport for less than an Acura? Isn't that like a 90K plane versus a 36K car?

I've also done cross-countries to SD and back from the Denver metro area. The StingSport that I'm in is very comfy, and add XM Radio onto it and it was actually quite fun flying back while listening to the Rox play.

Granted the other bigger planes will probably top off for the day as well, but they'll probably be putting in somewhere between 50 and 100 gallons.

I came back from a fly-in last summer and the thermals were kicking our rear-ends. Even at 8,000 and 9,000 feet. And once we were back into the Denver metro area there's that whole Class B thing to contend with, so we had to drop down below that to get kicked around some more.
