Re: Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Expired Annual

I was discussing this with my FAA brother just this morning. He signs off on them, but feels kinda worthless in the process. As he says, if an A&P will put his ticket on the line and some pilot feels confident enough to fly it, his action is really nothing in the process except a signature.
As an A&P I used to abuse it somewhat on my own plane, sign her off and go aviating! Cheaper than an annual!
