I actually have 56 hours, 128 landings, my ground school and cross country flights out of the way…with a couple of night hours too. All I need are written, check ride and poof I have a license. That said, medicals are going to get harder as I get older. I have High BP, take meds for it. So that's no problem now but My vision is getting worse, cholesterol higher, typical signs of aging. LSA category is a good idea but it's very limiting. VFR, relatively slow etc.
Does a Piper Cub qualify for LSA? If not, it should! It's the damn slowest thing I have ever flew. Stalls at like 45 mph! I can get out and run on landing next to the plane as it touches down. It can glide and catch thermals (seriously) on hot Texas summer days! I don't think it will top 120 knots and only carries 2 people. Does it qualify?

| Hello
Why does goes like stink seem out of line for Light Sport? You're limited to 120 Knots maximum level flight. That's not fast to me…My Piper goes faster than that!
