Insurance companies, who have a financial incentive to assess risk as accurately as possible, give reduced rates for advanced ratings.

I thought there must be some because I've heard the stories before, but just
in internet chat groups or hangar talk.
But when I searched these NTSB, FAA, AOPA sites I found nothing saying that
commercial and/or airline pilots had any worse record than anybody else.
Another Myth or "urban legaend"???
