A heart attack isnt the end of fling forever. Its only a small setback. I know a couple people who have had heart attacks and been able to get their medical back and as was mentioned, for a sport pilot you dont need a medical. But you do need to be fit to fly.

I husseled like crazy to get my Flightstar single seat (ultralight) certified as an expeimental LSA while I could. I had a heart attack at 61 years of age and now it sits as a lawn ornament anyway. My message here is that the ultralight pilots could still be in the air provided they could find clean non-ethanol tainted fuel. A whole nother can of worms.
