Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Re: I need help

This isn't quite on the topic of LSA or Sport Pilot but the topic of motor gliders was brought up recently.  Uncertain if glider instruction would solve the dilemma of a heavier person wanting training.

I compiled a list (about 90) of motor gliders that may not look like the conventional "sailplane".  And will most likely exceed the wing span loading associated with the definition of a STANDARD category motor glider, but certainly not the EXPERIMENTAL category motor glider.

I placed the pdf file in a folder titled "Motor Glider files" in this groups Files folder.
You should be able to click on the N-number to find more information about each aircraft.  If this doesn't work for you paste the n-number at the end of this URL, in place of the X's.  http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/NNum_Results.aspx?NNumbertxt=XXXXX
Within the folder I added pics of Space Ship Two and Lew Wetzel's motor glider.

Listed in the pdf file are some Vans RV's (4,6,7's), some BD-4's and BD-5's, a Kitfox, Benson gyrocopters, Zenith 601's including Zenith's newest a Zenith 750, and of course many of the trikes via the Glider Trike program.  Motor gliders with 1,2,3,4&8 seats.
Any errors or additions let me know.  I'm sure many more should be listed.
Scaled Composite's gliders N328KF & N339SS, both have rocket engines.  Both are EXPERIMENTAL gliders in the research and development class.

There are of course thousands of errors in FAA's databases.  Here's just a couple regarding gliders.

A Taylorcraft G-100 (N39177) is listed as a glider with a reciprocating engine.  I called the museum that owns it, and sure enough, no engine.  Some of these models had the front seat removed and an engine installed....not this one.
They planned on flying it last weekend, it's still in use....amazing.

Lew Wetzel's Titan (N2325L) is listed as having a Turbo-Jet engine, it has a Rotax type 503.
I emailed Lew about his motor glider.  He stated the local DAR wanted a bunch of money including travel expenses to inspect it, so he had the FAA come out and do the airworthiness for free.  He didn't have a bit of trouble getting the AC.  Lew is in his 70's and a commercial glider pilot.
