    I would suggesting checking out some of the local EAA Chapters-There are two in Ocala, 1 at Loves Landing near Weirsdale, 1 in Leesburg.  Also the Florida Flying Gators are in Groveland.  The Gators are a light sport group and operate out of a private grass strip.  They will usually have a spring and fall fly-in.  The next fly-in is November 3rd.  Good luck.  John Weber(in Leesburg- member EAA chapter 534 and member Florida flying Gators.)
