Mike, I simply do not believe that the general flying public will experience a fuel burn of less than 2.5 gph while using the airplane as the story may lead one to believe.

Well Ed, we don't know what -you- are going to define
as "average" or "normal".

But I can easily believe a LSA been flown at 50 knots
and using not more than 2.5 gals/hr in it's Rotax-912.
