I completely believe that they 2.5 GPH fuel burn in the pattern. Apollo Fox has 2.5 GPH at 65 to 70 knots in the pattern and its a whole lot more draggy than this plane. It doesn't even have struts. Pipestrel makes sailplanes or motor gliders. They reduce the induce drag by increasing the aspect ratio and this plane is a derivative of one of their models so highly likely it has a lower aspect ratio but still the rest of the heritage is there from their motor glider.
