We went to Cedar Key, FL yesterday in the Remos GX and had a blast. If you ever get to Florida, this is a great day trip to take by air.
The small town of Cedar Key has several small shops, a small (and I mean small) beach, and boat tours and fishing. The seafood restaurants are excellent -- we ate at the Pickled Pelican and the food was great with large portions.
The airport itself is on small key and if landing on runway 23 it's just over 2000 long. No problem in the LSA even with the 90 degree temps.
Just thought I'd share a cool destination -- if anyone has any other southern day trips, I'd love to hear about them.
