The problem is not with engines (or in this case motors) but with batteries.  They come in two varieties,  heavy and expensive.  When batteries catch up to motors they will become a viable option.  Right now an ultralight that can fly for 45 minutes on a single charge is here.  In the next few months who knows what will be out there.   Roger
