1) The passenger interfered severely on controls and froze for unknown reasons
2) The passenger was possibly suicidal as circumstantial evidence suggests to some people here who seem completely convinced this is what caused interference and struggle for control
3) The combination of two 21 year olds was feeling invincible and went outside the envelope of the pilot's own abilities
4) It was a wingover that went out of control
5) Who knows!
