Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group Re:Gobosh 700S

Jim,
Below is a message from Paul Hamilton regarding the LODA extension. Hope that helps.
Abid

Paul's letter:

"For anyone who has an E-LSA with registration expiring on 1-31-2010, or know anyone, read on. Check your registration.

Everyone who has an E-LSA where the registration expires 1-31-2010 must do something immediately!!!! The regulations do not allow issuance of a new airworthiness certificate for these aircraft, which means that they will no longer be able to fly legally unless their airworthiness certificates are amended before they expire.

If you fail to do it before 1-31-2010 it will become a lawn ornament (remember this problem before?). Most E-LSA training trikes registration expires 1-31-2010. EAA has developed procedures to accomplish this. See http://www.eaa.org/news/2009/2009-11-05_trainers.asp

Option a: Request to have your trike re-registered as a E-LSA with no training. This will be easier.

Option b: Request to have your trike re-registered as a E-LSA with a FAA "Letter of Deviation Authority" per 91.319(h) so you can use this for training after 1-31-2010. If you are going to do this, you must provide a training system and submit this to the FAA. Make this easy on yourself, use my industry accepted "Hamilton Pilot Training System" made specifically for trikes. See www.sport-pilot-training.com or www.ap-stores.com/c-160-trike-pilot-store.aspx for details. Reference it or buy a syllabus to submit to the FAA or develop your own system. But, get going on this now because it is worth the value of your trike.

I know this is another hurdle to jump through but so be it.

I am going to start this. Simply filling out the form, modifying the letter, and submitting it to your local FSDO."
