Rick,

Your comment to number 4 was/is so very far off.

You may note the steel identification plate (if nothing else) has the serial number
embossed upon it. This number is NOT the 'N' number.

For instance, on my trike, the N number is N50433
The serial number for my trike starts with APEX followed by 3 more digits.

Even in the referenced video and AOPA followup, Mr King knew the serial number was
under the tail of his aircraft and the N number (a completely different number) is
painted on both sides of his aircraft.
