Light-Sport Aircraft Yahoo group My SP status, was: police bashing

Rick,

I have tried several times, from initially with John Beaman in my trike at my home
airport (before he died) to the latest Samantha Moore/instructor plus Paul Hamilton/CFI
in Carson City NV.
I have also discussed this with Abid while we were both at the Cushing trike fest in
Illinois earlier this Summer.

Unless the trike has been modified to handle my weight in the front seat, without
always landing on the nose wheel, I will not fly the trike from the front seat.
ALL the WSC instructors, that I have been able to contact, indicate that their trike is
not setup to handle my weight in the front seat.
My suggestion, to some of them, that I perform the SP maneuvers from the back seat has
met with extreme resistance.
My suggestion that we use my trike (no rear throttle and no rear steering and no rear
kill switches) has only been acceptable to John B. (who was one of my instructors, back
in the BFI/AFI days.)
Sadly, John died before we could perform the test.

SO, the answer to your question is 'NO', I have not yet managed to obtain the SP
certificate. :-(
